About this speaker
Zeshan writes lyrical, uplifting picture books that reflect a plurality of culture. Her ancestral country of heritage is Pakistan. Her writing also reflects her love of the natural world and her Muslim faith.
Her debut picture book, My Name is a Gift, was published by Templar in 2024, and Noah's New Home in May 2025.
Zeshan studied zoology and is an advisor on nature conservation in Scotland. She lives on the outskirts of Edinburgh.
