About this speaker
After graduating from the University of Exeter with a degree in English Literature, Lorna Hemingway (she/her) completed her MA in Children’s Literature at Goldsmiths, where she was personally mentored by Michael Rosen.
Lorna joined Bell Lomax Moreton in 2019 and has since built her own award-winning children's list. She is searching for picture books, board books, chapter books, highly illustrated fiction, graphic novels and non-fiction (both in the commercial and gift space). Lorna's current list encompasses amazing authors and illustrators, many of whom have gone on to win or be shortlisted for prestigious awards, including the Klaus Flugge Prize, Inclusive Books for Children Award (IBC), Indie Book Awards, BookTrust Storytime Prize, and the World Illustration Awards, as well as being featured in The Observer, The Sunday Times, The Guardian, and Waterstones best books of 2023.
